The Committee of Administrators (CoA) on Wednesday issued the notice for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI's) Annual General Meeting - which will be held at the Board’s headquarters here on October 23 at 11 am.
As per the rule, the notice for the AGM needs to be issued 21 days prior to the Annual general meeting.
The notice, however, made it clear that only ‘compliant’ members will be eligible to attend the meeting.
“Compliant members of the BCCI may attend the General Body Meeting through their Representative who is found to be eligible by the BCCI Electoral Officer in terms of the enclosed notice and rules of procedure,” the notice read.
According to the notice, the AGM will see elections for the five office bearers ‘in accordance with the provisions of Rule 6 of the rules and regulations of the BCCI.’
And, also ‘to elect the one councilor of BCCI in accordance with the provisions of rule 14 of the Rules and Regulations of BCCI.’
The elections will also be held ‘to elect the two representatives of the General Body of BCCI in accordance with the provisions of Rule 28 of the Rules and Regulations of BCCI.’
Apart from voting, there will be the ‘adoption of the Audited Accounts of BCCI for the financial years 2016-17 and 2017-18 and ratification of the appointment of Statutory Auditors of BCCI for the financial years 2017-18 and 2018-19.’
The state associations are to complete their election process by October 4 and submit their compliance reports to the CoA to be eligible for the AGM.
