Scotland's UEFA Nations League match against the Czech Republic on Monday will go ahead as planned, UEFA confirmed on Saturday, a day after the Czech FA called off the game citing COVID-19 concerns.
Shortly after its 3-1 victory against Slovakia on Friday, the Czech FA said in a statement that the team would end its preparations for Monday's match against Scotland due to the “current situation with COVID-19” and that the match would not take place.
Slavia Prague's chairman said shortly before the game that he would ask to withdraw his club's players from the Czech squad after another member of the national team staff tested positive for the coronavirus.
“We can confirm that the match (on Monday against Scotland) is going ahead as scheduled,” said a UEFA spokesperson.
