The Indian men’s football team dropped two places to 127 in the latest FIFA rankings, published by the global football governing body on Thursday.
Under a new coach in Manolo Marquez, India’s latest 1-1 draw against Malaysia in an international friendly meant that the Blue Tigers finished 2024 without a single win, having played 11 matches in total.

World champion Argentina stays on top, followed by France in second and European champion Spain in third.
Euro 2024 finalist England retains the fourth spot while Brazil, record-time world champion (five), stays fifth.
Portugal and Netherlands climb one place to reach sixth and seventh, respectively, while Belgium drops down two places to eighth.
Italy remains in ninth while Germany climbs one place to occupy the final position in the top 10.
Top 10
Niger has been the biggest climber, going up nine places to reach 122, while Nigeria has dropped the most number of positions (nine) to occupy 44th place.
Among the Asian countries, Japan is the highest-ranked team in 15th place, while Morocco, in 14th, is the best-placed team from Africa.
USA tops the list among the CONCACAF categories, reaching 16th after climbing two places.
