Four-time winner on the European Tour SSP Chawrasia shot one-under 71 on a wild and windy day in the second round to make the cut at the one million Euro Rocco Forte Sicilian Open golf tournament here.
Going through a lean patch in this calendar year, Chawrasia has made only three cuts in nine starts in 2018 and this one in Sicily with rounds of 72 and 71 would give him a lot of confidence. He now lies tied 38 at one -under 143 at the Verdura Golf Club.

However, Ajeetesh Sandhu, who also got a spot in the event, missed the cut following rounds of 75-76.
Lucas Bjerregaard and Julien Guerrier share halfway lead
Dane Bjerregaard entered round two in a share of the lead but Frenchman Guerrier was the only player to stay bogey-free over two days as he carded a 65 to get to nine-under.
Strong winds made it difficult for the afternoon starters but Bjerregaard produced some impressive golf after the turn to get to 10-under before a bogey on the 16th dropped him back into the share of top spot after a 68.
Englishmen Steven Brown and Ryan Evans were then at eight-under, just one shot clear of Frenchman Mike Lorenzo-Vera, who carded the lowest round of the week with a 64.
