ATK scripted its chances via the industrious Garcia but neither team could find the back of the goal and the scoreline remained unchanged at halftime.

The home side began the second half on an attacking note. Kalu Uche failed to beat the 'keeper with a poor header, while Komal Thata and Garcia failed to utilise their chances inside the rival box.

Garcia provided the breakthrough off a Pritam Kotal a cross from right in 63rd minute, but the lead only lasted nine minutes. Chhangte's pass from inside the area was deflected by Daniel Lalhlimpuia and substitute Nandhakumar Sekar busted the net to restore parity.
