Red Bull team principal Christian Horner believes Sebastian Vettel will change his mind regarding the first-turn incident with Daniil Kvyat at the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday.
Vettel was furious with Kvyat after the Red Bull driver drove down the right of the Ferrari, claiming it forced him into an inevitable collision with team-mate Kimi Raikkonen.
The crash turned Raikkonen around with both cars damaged as a result, however Vettel battled back to finish second behind winner Nico Rosberg while Raikkonen went on to claim fifth.
But Horner believes Kvyat did nothing wrong and was in his right to go up the inside of Vettel - who labelled the Russian driver as a "madman".
"When Seb has a good look at it, he might change his opinion," Horner said after the race.
"There was an enormous gap up the inside there, the Ferrari's were getting busy with each other, and Kvyat just took advantage.
"It was a racing incident, to be honest. I couldn't see anything wrong with it."
Horner's Ferrari counterpart Maurizio Arrivabene refused to put the blame on anyone for what he also labelled a racing incident.
"Pointing the finger at somebody is not correct," he said. "Kvyat was doing his race coming into the curve at high speed, but I think Seb and Kimi were doing the same.
"Of course if you want to defend your position you move away and unfortunately Kimi was there. This is racing. It's not Monopoly."
