    Both teams have perfect scores but due to Fatemeh’s 10, which was 1.1mm away from the bullseye compared to India’s which was 19.3mm away, Iran is through to the final.

    Rakesh begins with a 10 in the final end while Sheetal hits another 9. For Iran, Fatemeh shoots a 10 and Nori hits a 9 which will be checked as it is close to the 10 mark.

    Rakesh shoots another 10. Sheetal too hits a 10 now. 

    10 for Fatemeh. Nori hits a 9. For now, India leads 152-151 but Nori’s first arrow in the final End will be checked.

    And Nori’s first 9 has been upgraded to a 10, which means the winner will be decided via shoot-off.

    Sheetal and Rakesh lead Islamic Republic of Iran’s Fatemeh Hemmati and Hadi Nori 39-38 after 1st End.

    In the third mixed team compound open quarterfinals, Italy beats China in a shoot-off by a whisker!

    The two pairs were tied at 151-151 after four ends. In the shoot-off, China’s Zhou Jiamin shot a 10 while Ai Xinliang hit a 9. For Italy, Eleonara Sarti had a 10 while Matteo Bonacina hit a 9. Since, the totals in the shoot-off were also equal, the winner had to be decided based on the proximity of their respective 10s to the center. Italy’s 10 was 1.1mm closer than China’s Absolute scenes at Invalides as the Italian’s celebrated while the Chinese pair looked stunned.

    First event of the day - Mixed 25m Pistol SH1 Qualification Precision

    Nihal Singh and Amir Amir Ahmad Bhat from India will be in action soon. The event consists of two stages, Rapid and Precision. Each competitor will take 30 shots in each stage. 

    Top 8 from the event will qualify for the final of the event.
