Amidst rape allegations, wide receiver Antonio Brown made his New England Patriots debut against Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Nike has dropped Antonio Brown after sexual assault and sexual misconduct allegations surfaced over the past couple of weeks.

According to  The Boston Globe , a Nike spokesperson said, "Antonio Brown is not a Nike athlete." When asked to elaborate further on why Brown was dropped from the brand, the spokesperson declined to comment.

Brown signed with the Patriots after a tumultuous offseason with the Raiders. Just one day after he signed, his former trainer, Britney Taylor, came forward and said Brown sexually assaulted her three times between 2017-18, adding that one of those instances was forcible rape.

Taylor filed a civil lawsuit against Brown seeking unspecified damages. According to the suit, one alleged assault took place in Pittsburgh, while the other alleged assault and rape took place in Florida.

Prosecutors in Pennsylvania can't prosecute Brown because of the statute of limitations. The allegation is more than two years old, which means there won't be an investigation.

Shortly after Taylor's allegations came forward, an artist, who declined to be named, said Brown exposed himself to her while she was working on a mural at his Pittsburgh home. She did not file charges.

Brown said his relationship with Taylor was consensual and has denied the artist's allegations.

According to the Globe, one of Brown's shoes is no longer on the Nike website, but several shirts from Brown's time with the Raiders and Steelers are still being sold.
