Tejas Shirse was disqualified during the 110m hurdles final at IFAM Outdoor, a World Athletics Continental Tour (Bronze category) meeting, in Brussels, Belgium on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, Tejas had finished first in his heat and fifth overall after clocking 13.60s.
The 21-year-old had recently broken the national record in men’s 110m hurdles during a World Athletics Continental Tour (Challenger level) meeting in Jyvaskyla, Finland where he clocked 13.41s to win the final, going past the previous mark of 13.48s set by Siddhanth Thingalaya in 2017.
