Leander Paes in partnership with Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela of Mexico sailed into the doubles semifinals of the $150,000 Challenger tennis tournament in the US.
In the semifinals, the top-seeded Indo-Mexican pair was scheduled to face Ruben Gonzales of Philippines and Nathaniel Lammons of the US.
In the ITF women’s event in Thailand, four-time National champion Prerna Bhambri was beaten in the semifinals 7-5, 6-1 by sixth seed Hua-Chen Lee of Chinese Taipei, after she had beaten the top seed Bunyawi Thamchaiwat in the earlier round.
