10:17pm: (TABLE TENNIS): Sathiyan Gnanasekaran goes down in the fifth match to Yunju Lin 9-11, 11-3, 9-11, 9-11, as Chinese Taipei beats India in men's team event.
9:37pm: (TABLE TENNIS): Chinese Taipei pulls back things to make it 2-2 after Sharath Kamal goes down in Match 4.
8:20pm: (TABLE TENNIS): Sathiyan Gnanasekaran loses 10-12, 9-11, 9-11 to Chihyuan Chuang. Scores are back on level terms at 1-1.
8:05pm: (TABLE TENNIS): Sharath Kamal defeats Yunju Lin 11-8, 5-11, 12-10, 11-8 to give India a 1-0 lead.
7:45pm: (ATHLETICS): Oh my, what a run! Dutee Chand scorches the track to clinch the silver medal in the women's 100m with a timing of 11.32s.This is India's third athletics silver medal of the day.
7:20pm: (TABLE TENNIS): The Indian table tennis team is back in action as it takes on Chinese Taipei in a Group D encounter.
7:15pm: (ATHLETICS): Another Indian in the 400m hurdles final! Dharun Ayyasamy finishes second in his heat, clocking 49.55s to make it to the final.
7:10pm: (ATHLETICS): News has just come in, G. Lakshmanan has been disqualified from the men's 10,000m race after he was found to have stepped out of the track. He will now lose his bronze medal.
7:05pm: (ATHLETICS): HE SETS THE TRACK ON FIRE! Santhosh Kumar Tamilarasan soars into the men's 400m hurdles final after finishing second in the semifinal with a timing of 50.46s.
6:45pm: (TABLE TENNIS): Indian women's table tennis team has progressed to the quarterfinals after beating Iran 3-1 in its final pool fixture. India finishes second in Group A after winning two of its three ties. Manika Batra (2 wins) and Mouma Das took India safely into the knockouts. Ayhika Mukherjee was the only Indian to lose her match.
6:40pm: (ATHLETICS): Men's Long Jump Final: Sreeshankar is out of contention for a medal after a faulty start in his sixth and final attempt. He finishes sixth in the final.
6:30pm: ( ATHLETICS): Men's Long Jump Final: Sreeshankar has slipped to fifth at the end of five attempts. He still has one attempt left and needs to go above 8.09m to have a shot at a medal. It looks like a tough proposition at the moment.
6:20pm: (ATHLETICS): Men's 10,000m: G. Lakshmanan wins bronze with a timing of 29:44.91. That's India's third athletics medal of the day. Are we in for more?
6:15pm: (BRIDGE) : Two bronze medals confirmed for India in bridge. The men's team and the mixed team will walk away with bronze medals after failing to finish in the top two in the semifinals.
6:05pm: (HOCKEY): India conceded goals for the first time in the current edition of Asian Games but still registered a comfortable 5-3 win over Korea. India will play its last group match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
6:00pm ( ATHLETICS): Men's Long Jump final: Sreeshankar is back in the reckoning for a medal with a 7.95m jump in his second attempt. He is currently placed third.
5:52pm (BOXING): Shiva Thapa knocked out in the Round of 16 match of the men's lightweight 60kg category.
5:24pm (ATHLETICS): Men's Long Jump Final: India's Sreeshankar is in the fourth position (7.76mm) after the end of first series of jumps. China's Jianan Wang (with a Games record jump of 8.24m), Yaoguang Zhang ( 8.15m) and Sri Lanka's Janaka Prasa Wimalasi (7.86m) are in the Top 3.
5:20pm (ATHLETICS): Men's Long Jump Final: India's Sreeshankar is currently in the second place after registering a 7.76m jump.

5:00 pm ( ATHLETICS): Women's 100m semifinal: That was quite a photo finish and it takes quite a lot of reviews to confirm the Top 3. India's Dutee Chand, who was leading for a brief period, finishes third and qualifies for the final. She clocks 11.43 in the semifinal 1. It was just .01 seconds (1/100th) slower than Olga Safronova of Kazakhstan who finished on the top. Dutee Chand has a national record of 11.24s, so she is certainly capable of bettering her mark. At the end of both the semifinals, Dutee Chand is ranked fifth in the list for the final.
4:57pm: (ATHLETICS): It's going to be a packed hour in athletics as Dutee Chand gears up for the women's 100m semiifinals. We have Sreeshankar competing in the men's long jump shortly after that.

3:57pm: (ARCHERY): The Indian men's compound men (Rajat Chauhan, Aman Saini and Abhishek Verma ) has entered the final with a 230-227 win over Chinese Taipei. It's going to be India vs South Korea in both men's and women's compound team gold medal match. Both will be held on Tuesday.
3:50pm: (SEPAK TAKRAW): India registers a come-from-behind victory over China (2-1) in a Men's Regu preliminary Group B match.
3:30pm: (TABLE TENNIS): Indian men's team begins the campaign with a 3-0 win over UAE in Group D. India will face Chinese Taipei in its second match at 6.30pm IST. G. Sathiyan registered a 11-6, 11-3, 11-4 win over Aldin Albalooshi; Sharath Kamal eased into a 11-9, 11-6, 11-5 win over Abdulla Albalooshi and Harmanpreet Desai won 11-4, 11-2, 11-8 against Essa Alblooshi.
3:11 pm: (ARCHERY): The Indian men's compound team is on course to emulate the women's team. The team comprising Rajat Chauhan, Aman Saini and Abhishek Verma edges Philippines 227-226 to progress to the semifinals. India will face Chinese Taipei in the semifinals later today (3:30 pm IST).
3:00 pm: (BOXING): Women's Fly 51kg category: India's Sarjubala Devi wins her Round-of-16 match against Madina Ghaforova in an unanimous verdict (5-0). She is through to the quarterfinals.
2:54pm: (BADMINTON) Women's singles: India is assured of two badminton bronze medals as P.V. Sindhu beats Jindapol Nitchaon 21-10, 16-21, 21-14. Detailed coverage here
2:25pm: (BOXING): Men's Welter 69kg category: Manoj Kumar, 2010 CWG gold medallist, loses his Round of 16 match to Kyrgyzstan's Abdurakhmanov 0-5.

2:05 pm: (TABLE TENNIS): Indian women's team loses to China 0-3 in its second Group A match. Manika Batra, Ayhika Mukherjee and Madhurika Patkar all lost their respective matches. India had won the first tie against Qatar and has another pool match scheduled later in the evening ( 4:30pm IST) against Iran today.
2:00 pm: (SHOOTING): We have no luck so far in shooting today. Indians have failed to qualify in the men's skeet event as well. Sheerz Sheikh and Angad Bajwa finish 13th and 14th respectively in the qualification.

1:25 pm (ARCHERY): With two archers hitting the bull's eye in the last set, India surges ahead and makes it to the final of the women's compound team final. So, India is assured of at least a silver in archery. It certainly has been a great one hour for India at the Asian Games. After two silver medals in equestrian and Saina following it up with a win in the quarterfinals, the women's compound team has done its bit to boost India's tally. India will face Korea in the gold medal match on Tuesday at 11.15am IST.
SAINA THROUGH TO SEMIFINALS
1:15pm (BADMINTON): Saina Nehwal has assured India of a medal by progressing to the semifinals of the women's event with a 21-18, 21-16 win over Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon. It will be India's first individual medal in badminton in 36 years. P.V. 12: 30 pm: ( EQUESTRIAN): India's Fouaad Mirza wins silver in eventing individual jumping final. India has also grabbed a silver medal in the eventing team jumping final. Indian Olympic Association, in fact, had initially decided against sending a team for equestrian . The team has vindicated its presence by winning two medals!

11:00 am (HANDBALL): A valiant effort from the Indian team but can't complete the comeback today against a skillful Taipei side. India loses 31-35 and remains second in the Main Round Group 3 table behind Taipei, which has played a game more.
10:56 am (HANDBALL): Things are heating up in the second half of the men's handball match between India and Chinese Taipei. After trailing 9-15 at one stage, India is now three goals away from tying the scoreline with two minutes to play.

9:35 am (TABLE TENNIS): Easy win for India to start things off. Mouma Das, Ayhika Mukherjee and Sutirtha Mukherjee combine to beat Qatar 3-0 in a women's team group A match.
9:28 am (ATHLETICS): Spoke too soon... The official standing for the women's 400m hurdles has been updated and Jauna Murmu has made the cut for the finals! She qualifies as the fastest loser from Heat 1.
9:23 am (CANOE): Contrasting fortunes for both the men's and women's team in the Canoe TBR 500m heats. The women's team qualified for the semifinals with a third place finish whereas the men's team could only finish fifth and qualify for the repechage.
9:12 am (ATHLETICS): Anu Raghavan qualifies for the final with a third-place finish and a time of 56.77. The Indian will have her task cut out tomorrow as her fellow heat competitor Oluwakemi Adekoya of Bahrain smashes the Games record with a time of 54.87.
9:10 am (ATHLETICS): Anu Raghavan's turn now in Heat 2. If she finishes in the first three positions, she will qualify for the finals tomorrow.
9:00 am (ATHLETICS): Jauna Murmu and Anu Raghavan are in action right now in 400m hurdles heats. Murmu completes the Heat 1 in 4th position but has been disqualified.

8:00 am (SHOOTING): Rashmi Rathore starts the day with a shot of 23 out of 25 in the women's skeet qualification. The shot takes her total to 91 out of 100 with another effort left. 17-year-old Ganemat Sekhon shot a 22 to take her total score to 90.
