Sumeeth and Manu lose a thriller and with that the match! It's not been a good day on the doubles front for India in badminton, as a third pair is knocked out. China's Liu Yuchen and Li Junhui win 21-13, 17-21, 25-23.

The Indian pair has levelled the scores by taking the second game 21-17. Can Sumeet and Manu continue their momentum to seal a place in the semifinals?

Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy are knocked out of the women's doubles quarterfinals with a 11-21, 22-24 loss.

Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy are a game down in their women's doubles quarterfinals match against China's Jia Yifan and Chen Qingchen.

21-15 And that's that! Sindhu steamrolls her opponent and joins Saina Nehwal in booking her place in the quarterfinal of the women's singles event. 21-12, 21-15 scoreline in favour of the World No. 3 Indian.

21-12 Sindhu takes the opening game as Tunjung makes another poor return.

First game

21-17 Satwiksairaj hits it into the net and that's the match for South Korea. SatwikSairaj and Chirag Shetty crash out of the men's doubles in the Round of 16. 17-21, 21-19, 17-21 is the final score to the Indians.

17-11 Tough luck for the Indians after some fabulous defensive play in a long rally. Chirag's shot at the end is called long.

13-11 Good defensive play by Satwiksairaj and Chirag but they can't hold up with the pace of the South Korean attack.

11-7 India trails at the interval. The South Koreans have been sharper in this opening game.

9-5 Early errors from Chirag and Satwiksairaj gives the South Koreans the initiative in the first game.
