Bolt looking to break more records in Rio

Bolt won three gold medals (100 metres, 200m, 4x100m relay) in both the 2008 and 2012 Games, and is confident of defending that trio of titles in Brazil. "Hopefully I can break a few more world records and stuff, so that’s my focus and we'll see what happens," Bolt said.

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt is hoping to sign off in style at the Rio Olympics.

Record-breaking sprinter Usain Bolt believes he is capable of running even faster at this year's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Bolt won three gold medals (100 metres, 200m, 4x100m relay) in both the 2008 and 2012 Games, and is confident of defending that trio of titles in Brazil.

The Jamaican is also a world-record holder in all three events, having set the current 100m and 200m markers at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin before combining with Yohan Blake, Michael Frater and Nesta Carter to clinch relay gold at London 2012.

And Bolt, who has confirmed Rio will be his final Games appearance, believes he is on course to sign off in style. "Well the training has been going pretty well for the Olympic games. It's been wonderful so far," he said at a Nissan GT-R launch event in New York.

"I've been on track. I've been working out pushing myself because it's a big year, so I'm definitely looking forward to going out and doing my best. For me, I never try to predict anything but I definitely said I'm going to go out there and defend my titles, to win three gold medals again.

"Hopefully I can break a few more world records and stuff, so that’s my focus and we'll see what happens."
