West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase hailed "legend" Jason Holder after the duo tormented England in a crushing 381-run first-Test victory at the Kensington Oval.
Captain Holder declared on 415-6 after making a magnificent maiden Test double century on day three with great support from Shane Dowrich (116 not out) and the Windies dismissed the tourists for 246 on Saturday to seal a huge win in Barbados.
Chase was the hero on day four, taking the sixth-best Test figures by a Windies bowler of 8-60 as sorry England collapsed from 134-1, Rory Burns top scoring with 84.
England capitulated as Chase got them in a spin, but the 26-year-old was quick to praise fellow Barbadian Holder for his man-of-the-match exploits with the bat.

"Jason is a legend in my eyes, a long-time friend, I believe in him and he believes in himself on the field. Could have been no greater feeling than to see him do that double-hundred yesterday. I thought he was going to give it away for a bit but he really showed the true character that he is, so I'm really happy for him and for my friend Shane Dowrich, who came through for the team," Chase said.
While the pacemen did the damage by bowling England out for a pitiful 77 in their first innings, Chase said he was ready to step up second time around.
"Looking at the wicket, I always thought I would come into play in the second innings," he said.
"The quicks set it up for us in the first innings and Mushy [spin coach Mushtaq Ahmed] told me I'm going to have to bowl 25 overs in the second innings, to get my mind ready for it, so I was always prepared to do some work, to give the pacers a rest. I started to pick up some wickets and it went from there.
"I just tried to be consistent and land it my areas, despite what the batsmen were doing, put some revs on the ball and vary my pace a bit."
