Picture this. Two people who once played alongside each other on the cricket pitch find their way back to each other as partners and tie the knot.
This is the fairytale cricketers Hayley Jensen and Nicola Hancock can claim as their own.
Kiwi all-rounder Jensen and uncapped Australian pacer Hancock exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony at Mooloolaba beach last week.
Both play for Australian Capital Territory in the Women's National Cricket League, Australia's 50-over domestic competition. They played together for the Melbourne Stars in the Women's Big Bash League before Jensen moved to arch rivals Melbourne Renegades.
The pair shared adorable images of their wedding on social media.
"The day was filled with lots of laughter, joy and of course love. I would like to thank everyone for making the day what is was. We love all of our family and friends and am so grateful to have you all in our lives. Here’s to our next chapter,"Hancock, who has taken her spouse's surname said in a post on Instagram.
The two have been together for a long time with Jensen thanking Hancock for the support through her 6-month ban from cricket for betting on a Black Caps match.
Jensen (26) and Hancock (23) are the third pair of contemporary women's cricketers to walk down the aisle over the last three years, with Kiwis Amy Satterthwaite and Lea Tahuhu, and South Africa's Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp announcing their weddings last year.
