  • Uttar Pradesh ends Day 2 at 265/5 in 84.6 overs. Rinku Singh (18 off 26) will start off things on Day 3, accompanied by Shivam Mavi (1 off 7).

  • At stumps on Day 2, Railways finishes at 132/4 in 51.6 overs with P S Singh (56 off 131) and Mahesh Rawat (16 off 29) at the crease. Tamil Nadu which is at 122/3 has B Aparajith (27 off 79) and N Jagadeesan (8 off 20) unbeaten at the crease.     At lunch, Kerala, after resuming at 35/1, has a lead of one run, with five wickets intact. Opener Jalaj Saxena is batting on 64 and V.A. Jagadeesh on 17 and they have taken Kerala to 148 for five. How much the duo could enhance the lead may determine the result of this match significantly.

    This game has been refreshing to watch because of the sporting wicket. Such a relief that it won't be yet another Ranji Trophy run feast that is only about which side gets the first innings lead.
