  • Our reporter V.V. Subrahmanyam updates: Delhi finished the second day at  21 for no loss in seven overs in reply to Hyderabad first innings score of 460 in the Ranji Trophy Group B match in Hyderabad.

  • Our reporter P.K. Ajith Kumar updates: Mohammed Shami has completed the quota the BCCI has recommended for him -- 15 overs --before lunch. The reasoning is that he shouldn't be overworked ahead of the Australian tour. He has easily been the pick of the home bowlers, with figures of 15-2-55-3.

    At lunch, Kerala, after resuming at 35/1, has a lead of one run, with five wickets intact. Opener Jalaj Saxena is batting on 64 and V.A. Jagadeesh on 17 and they have taken Kerala to 148 for five. How much the duo could enhance the lead may determine the result of this match significantly.

    This game has been refreshing to watch because of the sporting wicket. Such a relief that it won't be yet another Ranji Trophy run feast that is only about which side gets the first innings lead.
