India registered its 50th win in World Cup history when it beat Afghanistan in a thrilling 11-run win in Southampton on Saturday.
India is the third side after Australia (67) and New Zealand (52) to have achieved this feat.
Following the victory, India now has 18 wins from its last 21 matches in World Cups since the 2011 edition. It had lost only twice against South Africa in 2011 and Australia in the 2015 semifinal.

India, which set a humble target of 225 for Afghanistan, once looked to be in a vulnerable position, when Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi stitched together a crucial 42-run partnership for the third wicket before Shah fell to an excellent delivery from paceman Jasprit Bumrah.
However, Mohammed Shami struck thrice off successive balls - to register the first hat-trick of World Cup 2019.
