What a game of cricket we've had accompanied by equally excellent weather. No rains for once. Hope the weather gods continue to bestow their mercy upon us. That would be all from our side. Good night.
More live images coming in from the Stadium. Looks like a wonderful day to play cricket.

Here's a throwback to June 2018 weather synopsis for all you cricket nerds + weather buffs out there. Take note of the last line.
June was mostly warm and quite settled until the 12th, although often cooler near the east coast, with variable amounts of cloud and some scattered thundery showers at times, these mainly in the north. There was an unsettled westerly spell from the 13th to 20th, and it was notably windy on the 14th, but rainfall amounts were small in southern areas. High pressure brought dry and very sunny and increasingly hot weather by day from the 21st onwards, while it was relatively cool by night. ( Courtesy British Met Department)
In the first 11 editions of the World Cup, only two matches were abandoned before the toss. This tournament alone has already had four washouts, with the threat of more lying in wait . England's the only side to not be affected by the weather, yet: yet being the operative word here of course.
Good morning, folks. This is Ayan Acharya, and I'll be keeping you posted on the latest weather updates from Southampton. The initial word is that it's set to be a wonderful day for cricket with the British Met department forecasting "dry and sunny weather with temperatures of 20-21 degrees." Sounds good, right? Stay tuned for if the fickle English weather acts out, you'll know it as we know it.
The rains seem to follow the Indian team. Just as the squad settled into Southampton, the venue for its Saturday’s World Cup clash against Afghanistan, the weather remained cold and damp for large parts of Tuesday.
The Men in Blue arrived in batches since Monday and openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan with their respective families, preferred to take the train.
The drizzle continued unabated, drenching everything in its wake, but thankfully for Kohli’s men, the forecast for Saturday offers hope - sunny weather with some breeze.
Hello and welcome to Sportstar's LIVE updates and hourly weather predictions from Southampton, where India and Afghanistan will lock horns in a Cricket World Cup 2019 match at The Hampshire Bowl.
