Rain is likely to play spoilsport in Pakistan's match in Bristol.

The weather in Bristol doesn't look promising ahead of the Pakistan - Sri Lanka World Cup 2019 match at the County Ground on Friday.

While the toss has been delayed, sources in the British Met department say the forecast "doesn't look good."

"The rain should become less persistent this afternoon, but I’m not sure there will be enough time between showers to complete a  meaningful number of overs!," a Met official said.

Elsewhere, Team India's practice session at The Oval was called off due to rain.

The notoriously unpredictable Pakistan side, in search of its second win, held its nerve to beat England by 14 runs at Trent Bridge on Monday, just three days after crashing to a seven-wicket defeat against the West Indies at the same venue. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, beat Afghanistan in a rain-shortened match, also in Cardiff, to breathe life into its campaign. Both teams will be eagerly waiting for the weather gods to relent to get some action underway.
