Scorecard and ball-by-ball details
Interestingly enough, this is his second double century, against Sri Lanka after a world record score of 264 at Kolkata in 2014. His first double century came against Australia in Bangalore in 2013.
His knock of 208, which came in 153 balls, was studded with 13 fours and 12 sixes. This is Rohit's first score of 100-plus as an ODI skipper and his 16th century overall.
India finished on 392 for the loss of four wickets at the end of its 50 overs, its highest score at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali and its sixth highest overall score in the format.
Rohit's first 100 runs came off 115 balls while his second 100 runs required only 36 balls.
