As another Indian Premier League auction is round the corner, here is a sneak-peek into the full list of the players retained, the slots available for each team and the money it can spend on the table.
For the first time in IPL history, cricketers from the nine new states — Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Puducherry — in the BCCI calendar have registered.
The eight franchises have a total available purse of Rs 145.25 crore. While Chennai Super Kings needs to just fill in two spots (both Indians), Kings XI Punjab has 15 slots available (11 Indians, four overseas players) — the highest among the franchises.
