MUMBAI INDIANS BEATS DELHI CAPITALS BY 40 RUNS AND CLIMBS TO SECOND POSITION.  Delhi Capitals begun the chase well scoring 42 runs for no loss in the first five overs, but lost its way after that. It is a very slow surface and spinners have been effective in the middle overs. Delhi's home form has been dismal with just one win against Kolkata Knight Riders and losing the other three matches at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

◘  Delhi Capitals needs 50 runs off the final over.

THREE WICKETS IN A ROW! Chris Morris tries to hit Lasith Malinga over the long-off and is caught by Hardik Pandya. In the next over, Axar Patel sends back Keemo Paul, but he already halfway across the pitch. Bumrah runs to the ball, locks his arm and hits the wickets from the short-midwicket region. On the next ball, his yorker uproots Axar Patel, middlestump. MI 109/8 in 17.2 Overs.

Time-Out. Morris manages to hit Bumrah for a huge six over long-off and manages to get 10 runs off the over. Delhi is left with a huge task at hand needing 73 runs off the last 4 overs.

◘ Ben Cutting's throw from deep-cover hits the stumps. Axar Patel and Chris Morris run a second one. Axar hits Malinga for a four over point. MI 86/5 in 15 Overs.

BOWLED! Bumrah comes from around the wicket and sends in a seaming delivery to knock off Rishabh Pant's off-stump. Delhi in complete tatters now. DC 76/5 in 14 Overs.

GONE! A peach of a delivery by Rahul Chahar. the leggie's fuller-length ball is inviting and Shreyas Iyer leans in for a drive. However, the ball spins enough to take his off-stump. DC 65/4 in 11 Overs.

Krunal Strikes! Another wicket falls. Colin Munro is swings at Krunal Pandya delivery, which keeps low and hits the stumps. It is similar tale to Mumbai's innings where it lost three wickets to spin in quick succession after an explosive Powerplay. MI 63/3 in 10 Overs.

SHAW GONE! Shaw is deceived by Chahar's flighted delivery and holes it out to Hardik Pandya at long-on. Delhi skipper Shreyas Iyer is the next man in. DC 59/2 in 8.4 Overs.

◘ OUT. Rahul Chahar gets the breakthrough after the Powerplay with the big wicket of Shikhar Dhawan (35) who looked in tremendous touch. The left-handed batsman goes for the reverse sweep but gets trapped leg before. DC 49/1 in 6.3 overs.

◘ The early onslaught from Dhawan and Shaw has forced five bowling changes. Jasprit Bumrah is introduced and gives away just four singles with some good mixture of slow balls. DC 42/0 in 5 Overs.

Almost played on! Jayant Yadav's fuller-length ball takes an inside edge off Prithvi Shaw and narrowly misses the stumps. Dhawan clears the ropes off the next ball over the mid-wicket boundary. DC 38/0 in 4 Overs.

◘ Rohit Sharma throws the ball to Lasith Malings, but the Lankan pacer is hit for two more boundaries by Dhawan on the offside. DC 28/0 in 3 Overs.

◘ Dhawan smashes two boundaries and almost gets a third boundary if not for a block by bowler Rahul Chahar. Shaw and Dhawan run two. DC 18/0 in 2 Overs.

◘ Prithvi Shaw begins the chase with two boundaries off Hardik Pandya's first over. DC 8/0 in 1 Over

◘ Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw walk out to the middle for Delhi Capitals and Hardik Pandya bowls the first ball wide outside the offstump.

Mumbai Indians Innings

◘ Krunal Pandya manages to hit another boundary off the final ball of the innings and Mumbai ends with 168/5 in 20 overs. Delhi managed to peg back Mumbai for a good part of the innings after a fruitful Powerplay, but a few bad balls is enough for the Pandya brothers to put up 54 runs in 26 balls and change the direction of things.

◘ Hardik Pandya dispatches another one into the crowd off Rabada and then top edges Rabada for a catch behind the stumps by Rishabh Pant. However, he had inflicted the damage with a 32 off 15 balls. MI 158/5 in 19.3 Overs.

◘ Morris begins the over with two good yorkers and then goes for ten runs with two full-tosses on the leg for Hardik Pandya. MI 150/4 in 19 Overs.

◘ Pandya accelerates! He first hits Keemo Paul for a one-bounce four over the mid-wicket and then hits a 93-metre long six over long-off after picking Paul's back-of-the-hand delivery. MI 135/4 in 18 Overs.

◘  Hardik Pandya joins his brother Krunal in the middle. However, Chris Morris manages to land the ball in the fuller-length and yorker-length areas to restrict the explosive pair for most of the over. Krunal moves across the stumps and digs the final ball of the over to a boundary over the third-man. MI 118/4 in 17 Overs.

BRILLIANT CATCH BY PANT! Rabada hits the deck hard but it is away from Suryakumar Yadav's body and he in unable to scoop the ball. The ball takes an out-side edge and Pant dives to his left to take a superb catch. MI 104/4 in 15.1 Overs.

Hundred up for Mumbai. Rabada is back in the attack. Suryakumar Yadav plays a cheeky upper-cut off a slow bouncer to find the boundary rope. MI 100/3 in 14 Overs.

◘ The pitch has got slower with every passing moment. The batsmen are finding it difficult to pick it up. Keemo Paul is back after Delhi's spinners broke Mumbai's momentum. He makes Suryakumar Yadav reach out for a wider delivery to pull towards the leg side. MI 92/3 in 13 Overs.

RUN-OUT! Poor call by Suryakumar Yadav. He nudges it to the offside and calls for a run. Kagiso Rabada at point is off in a flash and De Kock is at the wrong end. Pant throws the ball to Axar Patel, who dislodges the bails calmly. Krunal Pandya is the next batsman in. MI 75/3 in 10 Overs.

Axar Patel Strikes! Ben Cutting return to the side ends quickly. The Aussie misses a sweep and is trapped plumb. Spin will once again be the deciding factor in this match. MI 63/2 in 8 Overs.

OUT! That is an unplayable delivery for Amit Mishra. The leg-spinner lands the ball on the middle stump and keeps low and beats Sharma's defence. It is also Mishra's 150th wicket in the IPL, making him the second bowler to reach the milestone after Mumbai Indians' Lasith Malinga. MI 57/1 in 6.1 Overs

End of Powerplay! Keemo Paul is in the attack and concedes 16 runs. He bowls a short-length to De Kock which the left-hander launches into the crowd over the square-leg boundary. He bowls a beamer off the last ball of the over and Rohit Sharma smacks it over the boundary. MI 57/0 in 6 Overs.

BIG OVER! Chris Morris is in the attack and hit for two boundaries and a six by Mumbai openers. Rohit Sharma reaches 8000 runs in T20 cricket, the third Indian to do so, with a boundary down fine leg off Morris' second ball. Sixteen off the over. MI 32/0 in 4 Overs.

◘ Another good over by Ishant Sharma. He has bowled a consistent line to the left-right combination of De Kock and Rohit Sharma and has hit the deck hard, making it difficult for the batsmen to free their arms. MI 16/0 in 3 Overs.

◘ FOUR! Rabada bowls one on the fuller-length and Sharma uses the pace of the ball to caress it through the covers for the first boundary of the innings. Seven runs off the over. MI 12/0 in 2 Overs

◘ Just five off the first over. De Kock seems to be struggling against the knuckle ball with Ishant Sharma getting some extra bounce off the pitch. The purple cap holder Kagiso Rabada is in next for Delhi. MI 5/0 in 1 Over.

◘ HERE WE GO! Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock walk out to the middle. Ishant Sharma bowls the first ball which misses Rohit's outside edge.
