Ranji Trophy semifinals: As it happened

He bettered his previous best of 7-74 against Maharashtra in Nashik way back in 2010-11.

"It is easily one of the quickest wickets I have bowled on in India. Kerala batsmen were in two minds, whether to play or shoulder arms. The plan was to hit the deck hard and let the wicket do the rest. It's a challenging pitch but our top three showed that if you spend time in the middle, runs will come. A lead in excess of 100 will serve us well."

He could have become only the fifth Vidarbha bowler to take eight wickets in an innings but for a grassed opportunity from Wasim Jaffer, who dropped M Nidheesh at long-on.
