Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed was on Friday conferred the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, the third highest honour and civilian award in the country, for his contribution to sports.
Sarfraz was conferred the award at the Sindh Governor House in Karachi. His wife, Syeda Khusbaht, and other members of the family attended the event.
“It is a big moment for the family. It is an extremely proud moment for all of us,” Safraz’s father-in-law Syed Aftab Ali Shah told Sportstar .
Sarfraz’s career graph reached peak last year when he led Pakistan to its Champions Trophy title.
