The transfer window closes at 11 p.m. GMT on Wednesday, January 31 (4.30 a.m. IST, February 1), and a couple of big-money moves seem likely to go through before then.
Premier League clubs, in particular, are close to completing permanent transfer deals for strikers and defenders from clubs abroad, while their players might switch clubs too, on loan deals.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal
The Gabong international looks set to exit Signal Iduna Park before the January 31 transfer deadline, with Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund having reportedly reached an agreement in principle over a £55.5m transfer.
Aubameyang's disciplinary issues led to him being dropped from the Dortmund squad for the fixtures against Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin in the last fortnight. The Bundesliga top-scorer made his first start in over six weeks last weekend, against Freiburg, and chances are he might have played his last match for Dortmund.
Dortmund has made clear that it will sell Aubameyang only if it signs a replacement.
The Bundesliga club reportedly contacted Chelsea on Monday evening over a potential loan move for the out-of-favour Michy Batshuayi, in which case Aubameyang's move to the Emirates Stadium will likely go through.
Daniel Sturridge loan move
This England striker has been linked with a host of clubs (home and abroad) over a six-month loan move.
Klopp: Liverpool won't replace Coutinho in January
Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion, Sevilla, and Inter Milan are the clubs reported to be interested in taking Sturridge on loan from Liverpool.
With the start of the FIFA World Cup less than five months away, Sturridge needs to play and do what he does best to stand a chance of being named in the Three Lions squad.
The latest is that West Brom looks set to beat the Magpies to the loan signing of Sturridge.
Lucas Moura to Tottenham Hotspur
This Brazilian winger has reportedly agreed terms with the North London club, having also visited the club's facilities and met with the manager and club chairman last week.

Paris Saint-Germain and Spurs are currently negotiating a potential deal for Lucas, who hasn't started any of the Parisian club's fixtures this season and was left out of the squad for last weekend's match against Montpellier.
Aymeric Laporte to Man City
Laporte has completed his medical examination ahead of the move to Manchester City and reports say that Laporte's £57m deal will be announced as early as on Monday evening, with the club having paid his release clause to the LFP earlier today.
Charly Musonda to be loaned out
This Belgian midfielder is on the verge of sealing a loan move from Chelsea to Celtic. He reached Glasgow earlier today and had his medical. The length of his loan move is said to be for 18 months.
Musonda has made six appearances for the senior team this season, though all have come from the bench.
