Champions League draw: As it happened

Two-time defending champion Real Madrid will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the round-of-16. Undoubtedly the biggest match of the round, this fixture could also decide next year's Ballon d'Or race as Cristiano Ronaldo comes up against Neymar.

For the first time in history five teams from the same league have made it to the round-of-16 of the UEFA Champions League with Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all making it to the pre-quarters.

Teams cannot be drawn against a team from their own domestic league.

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo leads the goal-scoring charts with nine strikes and one assist. Trailing him are Liverpool's Roberto Firmino (6G, 3A), PSG's Neymar (6G, 3A), Tottenham's Harry Kane (6G, 1A) and PSG's Edison Cavani (6G, 1A). Draw procedure

  • Two seeding pots will be formed: one consisting of group winners and the other of runners-up.
  • No team can play a club from their group or any side from their own association.
  • Seeded group winners will be away in the round of 16 first legs on 13/14 and 20/21 February and at home in the return matches on 6/7 and 13/14 March.

Match-ups:

Juventus vs Tottenham: Juventus is the first team to be drawn. It was face the high-flying Tottenham Hotspur.

FC Basel vs Manchester City: Swiss side FC Basel is next in line. It will face run-away EPL leader Manchester City.

FC Porto vs Liverpool: Portuguese side FC Porto will host Liverpool in the first leg.

Sevilla vs Manchester United: La Liga side Sevilla will battle Manchester United for a place in the quarterfinal.

Real Madrid vs PSG: In the way of Ronaldo and Co. is Paris Saint-Germain. Could this battle decide next year's Ballon d'Or?

Shakhtar Donetsk vs AS Roma: Roma will travel to Ukraine for the first leg.

Chelsea FC vs FC Barcelona: Antonio Conte has his work cut out for him! Chelsea will take on Barca.

Bayern Munich vs Besiktas: The Bundesliga champion will face round-of-16 debutant Besiktas of Turkey.
