Bengaluru FC (BFC) winger Chencho Gyeltshen has completed a loan move to I-League club NEROCA FC, in a deal that runs until the end of the 2018-19 season. The announcement comes a day after Gyeltshen scored a match-winning goal in the ISL, against NorthEast United FC. In his short stint with BFC, the Bhutanese footballer had established himself as a fan favourite.

Spanish midfielder Luis Manuel Villa, commonly known as Luisma, has been signed as Gyeltshen's replacement. Villa’s deal runs until the end of the 2018-19 campaign. He is set the wear the No.9 jersey, and will be available for selection for BFC’s clash against Kerala Blasters on February 6.

Luisma is a product of the Racing Santander youth setup. Before joining BFC, the 29-year-old last had a short stint with Segunda Division B (third level of the Spanish football league system) team SD Ponferradina.

“Luisma can also improve our numbers from set-pieces because of his ability to shoot and cross from dead ball situations,” BFC Head Coach Carles Cuadrat said.

Cuadrat also praised Gyeltshen for his fine work ethic, and wished him well. “We will be keeping a note on his progress with NEROCA, because he is a young player who we are sure will improve with each performance,” Cuadrat said.
