The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced the fixtures for the inaugural edition of the Super Cup, on Monday. Chennaiyin FC takes on Aizawl FC in the tournament opener on March 31st, while I-League champion Minerva Punjab will begin its campaign against Jamshedpur FC on April 2.
Bengaluru FC will lock horns with the second qualifying side on April 1, while Mohun Bagan will take on the first qualifier on the same day.
FC Goa will take the field on April 3 when it takes on qualifier four. Pune City will take on Shillong Lajong on April 4, while East Bengal will battle it out against fourth qualifier.
On April 6, Neroca will take on Kerala Blasters.
The quarter-final dates are subject to the result of Aizawl FC’s match against Chennaiyin FC due to their AFC Cup commitments. The dates will be announced on March 31.
“This tournament shall draw the attention of football lovers across the country,” AIFF vice-president, Subrata Dutta, said.
The semifinals will be held on 16th and 17th April, while the final will be played on the 20th.
