Troyes 1-3 PSG Highlights: Mbappe, Vitinha and Ruiz score as Paris Saint-Germain maintain Ligue 1 top spot

Paris Saint-Germai completes a comfortable win away as it cements its spot on top of Ligue 1.

Renato Sanchez gets the ball to Mbappe, whose shot is saved by Galon. But the ball goes only as far as Ruiz who shoots into the net to make it look like a training ground game this. Surely, the competition is over here at Troyes.

Papa Yade makes a good run along the left flank to ross for Chavaleriun who heads it into the net after beating Donnarumma on flight.

The corner, taken by Vitinha, is flicked on by Marquinhos. And, after a pinball of headers, Ramos heads it, which is cleared away by Troyes.

Ekitike gets the ball in the penalty box but as he shoots, Palmer-Brown makes a timely block to deny a goal and force a PSG corner kick.

PSG tries attacking along both the wings. While Bernat’s run is thwarted on the left, Marquinhos makes a forward run,. cuts back to cross for Mbappe. The Frenchman receives the ball with one feet and tries a hot with another only to see it blocked.

Mbappe gets a pass from Pereira, who had delivered a pinpoint one from the PSG half along the left flank. But, before the forward could begin the attack, the linesman raises the falg for offside.

PSG continues to ask questions and attack. Fabian Ruiz threads in a pass for Bernat to his left, who made a good run but his final cross is blocked by Troyes as the host looks to attack on the counter.

Verratti’s pinpoint passing sees him deliver a lobbed ball for Vitinha who pounecs on it and, though Glaon gets a touch, he can only see the ball kiss the net the next second.

Quick attack by PSG again. Verratti to Ekitike and a throuhg ball into the bo. Mbappe sprints in to get to the ball bu Galon gets to it first and then the ball goes out of play after a touch off Mbappe.

Galon is back on his feet. Mbappe tests him almost immediately with a right-footed curler which, though is off-target, forces Galon to make a full-stretched attempt to make a save.

Ekitike, who is playing where Messi usually plays, tries a shot from distance and Galon makes a good save. Seconds later, he sets up Verratti whose shot is again stopped by Galon, ,who requests medical attention after the hit.

Bernat tries to deliver a cross for Mbappe in a crowd of blue shirts as the Frenchman stands waiting but Troyes clears it out of danger.

Troyes gets the ball rolling in the second half and will look to continue ithe same momentum with which it ended the first.

Kylian Mbappe’s goal separates the two sides as PSG vs Troyes’ first half ends in favour of Galtier and his men.

Chavalerin delivers a low cross for Balde who heads it on target. The ball, almost rifling is somehow saved by Donnarumma as Troyes continiues to ask question to PSG at home.

Vitinha, Bernat and Mbappe combine in an overlap. Mbappe side-steps the defenders to get the ball to Vitinha but Bernat and Vitinha mix-up in the box to spoil that opportunity.

Zaire-Emery gets the ball to Verratti, who crosse for Mbappe from the right. Mbappe tries a Ronalo-esque bicycle kick but fails to gte contact on the ball.

Verratti gets the ball to Mbappe with a routine long ball but the Frenchman’s cross is blocked by Rami for a corner. PSG, however, could only see the corner being cleared away.

Mbappe wins in the ball in his own half, makes a quick turn and marauds into the Troyes final third. He beats his two markers but goes down in the box appealing for a penalty. The referee is not interested.

Balde makes a great run into the box, beats Marquihos and Zaire-Emery but Donnarumma gets to the ball first to clear. However, the ball goes only as far as Ugbo in front of the box, who shoots only to see Marquinhos clear it this time.

Fabian Ruiz wins the ball in the left part of he midfield and tries a shot on goal from outside the box. he shoots on target but Galon makes a save on his near post.

Rami and Veratti try to get to the ball at the same time but the Frenchman wins the battle. Veratti fouls him for a wuick Troyes free-kick.

Vitinha’s corner kick is headed by Danilo and Galon is there again to deny a goal on full-stretch. But the ball flies over him and the goal for a Troyes goal-kick.

Mbappe runs along the left flank, crosses for Fabian Ruiz in the centre, who shoots on target. But Galon makes another save to deny the second goal to PSG.

Ekitike gets the ball at the edge of the box and tries to strike a grounded shot with his left foot. Galon, however, is not troubled at all with the hit and saves it comfortably.

The play is stopped after flared are thrown on the pitch by fans. The referee makes sure they are cleared and the game resumes after a few minutes.

Mbappe gets a chance to double his lead with a long ball into the box. But his header has no real force as the goalkeeper gets to it easily.

Vitinha gets the ball in the final third along the right flank and then crosses. The ball, after a deflection off Palmer-Brown and then off the crossbar, is received by Mbappe who heads it into the net comfortably.

Bernat dances through the left flank, delivers a cross, which is cleared by Troyes.

Veratti takes a quick free-kick to deceive the Troyes defenders, delivers a lobbed pass to Mbappe, who makes a run into the box but shoots into the side-net.

PSG is playing with a 3-5-2 formation with Ektike and Mbappe as the two heads of attack. Troyes, on the other hand, has gone for a more conservative 3-4-1-2 shape.

The Ligue 1 game between PSG and Troyes is underway. Galtier’s side will have to play without Messi, who is suspended for his unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia.

Paris Saint-Germain is due to return to league action away at struggling Troyes on Sunday and will miss one of its most important forwards Lionel Messi.

The World Cup winner was sidelined by PSG for an unapproved trip to Saudi Arabia, for which he apologised later. “I apologize to my teammates and I’m waiting for what the club wants to do with me,” he said. “I thought we were going to have a day off after the game as always. I had this trip organized and I couldn’t cancel it. I had already cancelled it before…”.
