Ramkumar Ramanathan in partnership with Stefano Travaglia of Italy was beaten 6-0, 5-7, 12-10 by Roman Jebavy and Igor Zelenay in the doubles quarterfinals of the 92,040 Challenger tennis tournament in Mouilleron-le-Captif, France.
Purav Raja in partnership with Antonio Sancic of Croatia was also beaten in the quarterfinals, by the fourth seeded Jonny O’Mara and Ken Skupski of Britain.
In the $25,000 ITF women’s event in Lagos, Nigeria, former National champion Riya Bhatia outplayed second seed Sandra Samir 6-2, 6-3 in the quarterfinals. She will await the winner of the match between Laura Pigossi of Brazil and Rutuja Bhosale.
