Purav Raja, in partnership with Rameez Junaid of Australia, made the doubles final with a 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 victory over third seeds Mikhail Elgin and Yaraslav Shyla in the $75,000 Challenger tennis tournament in Turkey.
In the final, the top-seeded Indo-Aussie pair was scheduled to play the second seeds Timur Khabibulin of Kazakhstan and Vladyslav Manafov of Ukraine.
In the ITF men’s Futures in Cairo, top seeds Anirudh Chandrasekar and Aryan Goveas were beaten 6-4, 7-6(3) in the doubles final by second seeds Alexander Erler and Markos Kalovelonis.
Meanwhile, in the ITF junior tournament in Colombo, Malikaa Marathe was beaten 6-2, 7-6(5) by Mei Hasegawa of Japan in the girls final.
V.M. Sandeep did well to make the boys final but was beaten 6-2, 6-4 by Baoluo Zheng of China.
