Divij Sharan, in partnership with Marcelo Demoliner of Brazil, got past the German pair of Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 in the doubles quarterfinals of the EUR 586,140 ATP 250 tourney in Munich, Germany, on Thursday.
Sharan and Demoliner had earlier ousted the top seeds Dominic Inglot of Britain and Rohan Bopanna in another super tie-break. The Indo-Brazilian combination will next play the Skupski brothers from Britain, Ken and Neal.
In the ATP Challenger in Mexico, second seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja beat Dariann King and Peter Polansky 7-6 (5), 2-6, 10-3 in the doubles pre-quarterfinals.
Ramkumar goes down fighting
In the ATP Challenger in Seoul, the 146th ranked Ramkumar Ramanathan went down fighting in the pre-quarterfinals to Li Zhe of China, who prevailed 6-4, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (6). The other Indian Davis Cupper, Saketh Myneni, was also beaten in the pre-quarterfinals, by Tung-Lin Wu of Chinese Taipei.
The third entry was worth eight ATP points and USD 1,720.

Ramkumar, however, sustained his good run in the doubles and reached the semifinals with Brayden Schnur of Canada.
In the ATP Challenger in Savannah, Davis Cupper Sumit Nagal progressed into the pre-quarterfinals, past eighth seed Mats Moraing of Germany.
In the ITF women’s event in Namangan, sixth seed Rutuja Bhosale made the quarterfinals with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Maryna Chernyshova of Ukraine. She also made the doubles semifinals along with Eudice Wong Chong of Hong Kong.
In Turkey, sixth seed Jennifer Luikham reached the singles quarterfinals to challenge local girl Cemre Anil.
