The Wrestling World Championships 2022 which is held in Belgrade, Serbia has started on September 10 till September 18, will see thirty Indian wrestlers competing.
Commonwealth Games champions Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Ravi Dahiya are on a bid to win their first world title. On the other hand, World silver-medallists Deepak Punia and Anshu Malik have withdrawn from the event due to injuries.
When compared to the two medal haul at the last Worlds, India will look to increase its medal tally. Here are the Indians competing on Day 2 of the Worlds (September 11).
September 11
Men’s Greco-Roman qualification rounds 63kg, 67kg, 82kg, 97kg will take place from 2:00 PM IST onwards and semifinals (subject to qualification) will be conducted from 8:15 PM IST onwards.
Neeraj (63kg), Ashu (67kg), Harpreet Singh (82kg), Deepanshu (97kg) will be the Indian’s participating on September 11.
