Asiad men's Hockey: India edges past Korea with a 5-3 win, books semis spot

India continued its prolific run in the 18th Asian Games with its fourth consecutive win, beating Korea 5-3 in a competitive manner.

This is India's fourth win in a row in the tournament so far, and it has all but secured the side's spot in the semis, with the final tie against Sri Lanka yet to be played.

60' GOAL FOR KOREA. Jang Jonghyun converts a PC to score Korea's third goal of the evening off a dragflick towards the right of Sreejesh.

20' We've already said this before, but the Indian attack is an absolute delight to watch today. Chinglensana plays a beautiful long scoop to Manpreet, albeit the latter is unable to convert the pass. The Indian team looks very composed.

16' WHAT A BEAUTY OF A GOAL! Simranjeet Singh plays a peach of a lob from midfield to find Lalit Kumar in the box, who coolly finds the back of the net. India now leads 3-0.

Hello and welcome to the live blog session of the Pool A tie of Men's Hockey between defending champion India and Korea in the 18th Asian Games on Sunday.

India has been on a phenomenal run in the tournament so far, winning all the three games it has played so far. Having beaten host Indonesia with a record-breaking score of 17-0 in the opening game, followed by a another big 26-0 drubbing of Hong Kong and a 8-0 win over Japan, can India register it's fourth win in a row in the tournament?

A win today would more or less ensure a semifinal spot for India, and the Indians, coached by Harendra Singh, would be desperate to book a place in the semis, as they would leave no stones unturned to make sure that the job is done.
