Mitchell Starc on Tuesday became the first bowler to record two hat-tricks in a Sheffield Shield match.
Starc's historic feat — he's only the eighth bowler to get a hat-trick double in first class cricket — helped New South Wales (NSW) beat Western Australia (WA) by 171 runs.
Starc had removed Jason Behrendorff, David Moody and Simon Mackin in WA's first innings to complete his first career hat-trick. On Tuesday, he took the last three wickets — Behrendorff, Moody and Jono Wells — taking NSW to victory.
This was Starc's final domestic match ahead of the Ashes.
