Sanvir Singh cracked a century on Ranji Trophy debut to help Punjab dominate the second day against Andhra in the four-day Ranji Trophy Group B match at the ACA-VDCA Stadium here on Friday.

Resuming at its overnight score of 261 for six, Punjab scored a challenging 414 thanks to 22-year-old, all-rounder Sanvir's ton (110, 195b, 4 x 4, 1 x 6) and the team's cause was also helped by a very handy contribution from last IPL edition star Mayank Markande, whose knock (68 not out, 187b, 6 x 4, 1 x 6) propped the total to compound the misery of the home team coming down the order.

In reply, Andhra was struggling at 54 for three at close of play with captain Hanuma Vihari, who went for  a drive away from his body off left-arm pacer Barinder Sran only to be caught in the slip cordon, also back in the pavilion.
