From Moradabad to Mohun Bagan to the Indian silks, mohammed Shami has come a long way riding purely on the genius of his pace. A look back at his journey.

Most people in the small village of around 5,000 have hardly travelled beyond Moradabad or Amroha, the biggest cities in the vicinity. But one boy dared to step out into the wider world: Mohammed Shami. Uthra Ganesan traces his journey.
