Originally wanting to become a medium pacer, Kuldeep Yadav’s first coach convinced him to switch to spin and found that the youngster was a natural. The rest, as we say, is history.

Ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup, nothing is more encouraging than your coach rallying behind your abilities to make a difference in the showpiece event. 

Abhishek Mukherjee caught up with Yadav's coach, Kapil Pandey to trace the chinaman's journey from training to be a medium pacer to rapidly rising as one of Team India's most sought out spinners.
