The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited Nepal U—19 for a One Day series stretching from September 9 to 20.
Interestingly, The National Cricket Academy (NCA) will also be participating in the upcoming tournament, the state news agency Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) reported.
Reportedly, Nepal is still waiting for permission from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to participate in the event.
"It might take some days to decide over the participation in the series. Some of our U—19 players who are in the national team are just back from the Netherlands. After consulting with them we will decide,” Raman Siwakoti, the manager of Nepali cricket team told RSS .
As per the schedule prepared by the BCCI, India will play against Afghanistan on September 9 at the Eden Gardens, whereas Nepal will be facing NCA at the Jadavpur University grounds on the same day.
Likewise, on September 16 the NCA team and the Indian U—19 team will face each other at the Eden Gardens while Afghanistan will face Nepal at the Jadavpur University grounds on the same day.
On September 18, the top two countries will be competing for the trophy at the Eden Gardens whereas the other two teams will play for the third and fourth position at Jadavpur University.
