Overs 15.2, India 65/8

EIGHT DOWN INDIA! Arundhati, who has been batting sensibly until now, goes for a slog-sweep in Nadine de Klerk's bowling which looked like a certain six. However, Sune Luus takes an excellent catch, her third of this match, on the boundary.

Overs 12, India 48/6

South African bowlers have tried bowling full and landed most of them in the yorker-length area, but Veda and Arundhati have done well to anticipate the yorkers and put the bad balls away.

Overs 9, India 25/6

Going for the win seems to be on the side-burner now as the India batters are cautious no to lose another wicket. An occasional boundary from Arundhati brings the crowd to its feet.

Overs 8, India 18/6

Veda Krishnamurthy and Arundhati Reddy look to steady the ship which looked like it would capsize. The required rate is over 12 now.

Overs 6.2, India 13/6

GONE! Anne Bosch joins the party! She sends back keeper-batswoman Taniya Bhatia for a nought as she gives an easy catch to Sune Luus at extra-cover.

Overs 5.3, India 13/5

LIKE A PACK OF CARDS! Smriti Mandhana tries to clear the off-side field but skies the ball which is falls easily for Sune Luus at cover. Deepti Sharma is the next batter to go as she hits Nadine de Klerk straight towards Anee Bosch at deep extra-cover.

Overs 3.4, India 10/3

BOWLED! Played on by Harmanpreet. The Indian captain goes for a late cut but the ball takes an inside-edge and rattles the stumps. India off to a horrid start.

Overs 3, India 9/2

Smriti gets off the mark with a boundary over fine-leg. India will need more of those from her and Harmanpreet if the host is to catch up to the burgeoning required rate.

Overs 2.2, India 4/2

SHAFALI AND JEMIMAH GONE! Shabnam Ismail is on a hat-trick. Lee takes an easy catch from Shafali Verma on the edge of the circle and Jemimah falls for a lbw decision on the very next ball.

Overs 2, India 4/0

Maiden! Smriti is unable to unlock a crowded off-side field while Khakha has been accurate with the line and length throughout the over. This is added more pressure on her young partner when she takes on Ismail in the next over.

Overs 1, India 4/0

Shafali hit on the helmet! The 15-year old Shafali Verma attacks Shabnim Ismail and hits a boundary over the bowler's head. The pacer responds with a bouncer directed at the head. The teenager shakes of the effect and continues batting.

India's chase begins!

END OF INNINGS - India's Target - 176

Overs 20, South Africa 175/3

Nine runs come from the final over by Deepti Sharma. India has done a good job at preventing South Africa from going past 200 after that early onslaught from Lee and Luus. However, a target of 176 is still formidable and it is up to Indian openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana to match their counterparts.

Overs 18.3, South Africa 163/3

Captain dismisses captain! Harmanpreet pitches her ball as her counterpart Sune Luus comes down the track and misses it completely. Wicket-keeper Taniya Bhatia collects the ball and dislodges the bails in one swift motion.

Overs 18, South Africa 161/2

WICKET! Mignon du Preez slashes hard at Arundhati Reddy's good-length delivery as the ball takes a thick outside-edge off her bat and lands safely in the hands of Poonam Yadav.

Overs 15.5, South Africa 144/0

WICKET! A superb innings from Lizelle Lee comes to an end. She targets the deep mid-wicket boundary in Poonam Yadav's bowling, but is unable to connect. Shafali Verma at the mid-wicket takes a good catch to send back the opener. The stadium gives Lee a well-deserved standing ovation.

Overs 15, South Africa 137/0

This is shaping up to be nightmare for Indian bowlers. The South African openers have showed great composure and have taken the host to the cleaners. Lizelle Lee in particular, has been in imperious touch.

Overs 13, South Africa 124/0

Brilliant batting from Lee! She hits Mansi Joshi for three boundaries and races to 71 from 38 balls (12x4, 1x6).

Overs 12.2, South Africa 114/0

That's fifty for Sune Luus! Luus taps the ball towards the mid-off fielder to get her fifty. She has been strong on the backfoot and has guessed all the lengths right while the ordinary bowling from the Indians has made it easier for her.

Overs 11.3, South Africa 103/0

SIX! Poonam Yadav errs in line and Lee whacks it over the square-leg boundary to bring up her team's hundred. Poonam bowls one more in the slot and Luus hits it over the mid-wicket boundary.

Overs 10.1, South Africa 91/0

FIFTY FOR LEE! Arundhati bowls a short-pitched ball outside the off-stump and its too easy for Lizelle Lee who beats the backward-point and gully to complete her half-century.  This is 11th half-century in T20Is, the highest number of 50+ scores for South African Women.

Overs 8, South Africa 67/0

Anything short is asking to be hit and pacer Arundhati Reddy does exactly does that. Lee rocks backwards and clobbers the ball for a boundary over extra-cover. This is the dream start South Africa wished for over the course of this T20 series.

Overs 7, South Africa 59/0

Anuja Patil goes for the leg-breaks which could've included two wides. Luus and Lee go in hunt of those deliveries, but a packed off-side field prevents boundaries.

Over 6, South Africa 57/0

For the third consecutive over, Indian bowlers have conceded ten runs or more. They bowled short in the Power Play which made it easy pickings for the South Africans. Let's see how Harmanpreet marshalls her troops now that the fielding restrictions are off.

Overs 5, South Africa 47/0

Luus and Lee are growing in confidence. Anuja Patil is hit for two more boundaries as the visitor posts its highest opening partnership of the series.

Overs 4, South Africa 37/0

18 off the over! Mansi Joshi strays in length and is punished by Lee as she hits the Indian pacer for three consecutive boundaries.

Overs 3, South Africa 19/0

Anuja Patil is the second spinner into the attack and she concedes just five runs from her first over, thanks to some excellent fielding efforts from Jemimah Rodrigues and Mansi Joshi on the boundary.

Overs 2, South Africa 14/0

South Africa's right-hand opening pair Sune Luus and Lizelle Lee are off to a breezy start. They have hit India's opening bowling duo of Deepti Sharma and Mansi Joshi for two boundaries.

Our correspondent P.K. Ajith Kumar from Surat updates:

"A good evening from a festive Surat for one last time for this totally one-sided Women’s T20I series. The ladies in blue have been just too strong for the South Africans, who will be desperate to avoid a whitewash going into the final match. Harmanpreet Kaur’s girls are 3-0 up and are feeling so good that they have made three changes. Which is the right thing to do; maybe that is something they could have done a bit earlier so that they could test how strong their bench is.

For this game, India has rested seamers Shikha Pandey and Pooja Vastrakar as well as spinner Radha Yadav. In come Mansi Joshi, Arundhati Reddy and Anuja Patil.

Another fantastic crowd has come out to watch the action; Surat is celebrating its tryst with international cricket in some style. The air is festive even otherwise, as it is the time of Navaratri, Gujarat’s biggest festival. You are reminded of the fact every evening while on the street; you will see the Gujarati women dressed up in their traditional chaniya choli and elaborate jewelry as they head for the venues for Garba dance.

At the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium though, the full house is waiting for the Indian women to make their South African counterparts dance to a different tune."
