Kohli congratulates coach for Dronacharya award

Virat Kohli's coach Raj Kumar Sharma, Dipa Karmakar’s coach Bisheshwar Nandi, athletics coach Nagapuri Ramesh and boxing coach Sagar Mal Dhayal have been selected for the coveted award.

Virat Kohli congratulated his coach Raj Kumar Sharma, who was selected for this year’s prestigious Dronacharya award.

Sharma, on Monday, was named along with three others for the award that will be given by President Pranab Mukherjee at a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on August 29.

Apart from Sharma, gymnast Dipa Karmakar’s coach Bisheshwar Nandi, athletics coach Nagapuri Ramesh and boxing coach Sagar Mal Dhayal have been selected for the coveted award.

The Dronacharya awards for lifetime will be awarded to veteran swimming coach S. Pradeep Kumar and wrestling coach Mahabir Singh. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs.5 lakh each with a medal and a citation.
