As soon as Jos Buttler was promoted up the order in Rajasthan Royals, he was a different player. The wicketkeeper-batsman from England smashed 295 runs in his last four innings, which included a match-winning 95 not out (off 60 balls) — his highest score in the Indian Premier League — against Chennai Super Kings on Friday. Striking the ball at 149.28, the Englishman will be the key for Rajasthan Royals when it meets Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
If any bowler can stop Buttler’s hitting streak, it is Jasprit Bumrah. The 24-year-old speedster didn’t pick that many wickets — 12 wickets in 11 games — this season, but his economy rate has been steady at 6.83. In the first-leg in Jaipur, it was Bumrah who cleaned up Buttler. The lad also claimed the crucial wicket of Sanju Samson. Having the power of yorkers and low full-tosses, he is also one of the best death bowlers around.
