PCB to host 2020 Asia Cup, venue not decided

The Pakistan Cricket Board has earned the rights to host the Asia Cup in September 2020, but the venue of the tournament is yet to be decided.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has earned the rights to host the Asia Cup in September 2020, but the venue of the tournament is yet to be decided.

If not in Pakistan, the Asia Cup will then be played in UAE - PCB's home ground since 2010. The Indo-Pak relations could play a key role in deciding the venue for the T20 version of the tournament.

This year's Asia Cup in September was hosted by BCCI at a neutral venue (UAE), considering its relation with the neighbouring country Pakistan.

Moreover, international cricket is slowly making a comeback to Pakistan since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009. Sri Lanka and West Indies of having played series in the country, added to that PSL matches involving foreign players being held in cities like Lahore and Karachi.
