Young opener Prithvi Shaw has been ruled out of the India A One-Day International squad against the West Indies with injury. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the 22-year-old right-hand batsman from Maharashtra, has replaced Shaw in the squad. Ruturaj enjoyed a prolific series of one-day matches against Sri Lanka A last month, and gets his reward.
The BCCI has made two more changes for its one-day series, with Anmolpreet Singh and Ishan Kishan too being included in the 15-man squad.
Anmolpreet and Kishan have replaced Mayank Agarwal and Rishabh Pant, both of whom are in England for the World Cup. Anmolpreet is a right-hand batsman from Punjab, while Ishan is a wicketkeeper-batsman from Jharkhand.
India will play one-dayers against West Indies A, beginning July 11, 2019.
