TOSS: England wins toss and chooses to bat first.
A small break here, but please don't go anywhere as we will soon be back with the live coverage of the second tie of the day between England and West Indies. The toss is scheduled to take place at 1PM IST.
WHAT THEY SAID
Dane van Niekerk: I have to give credit to Pakistan, they gave us a massive go. It was an incredible game to be part of. This is only the third time Laura Wolvaardt has batted at five. She's matured beyond her years. She's gonna be one of the legends.
Javeria Khan: We lost our way in the end with the ball. We should have restricted them under 120. The game would have been different. We weren't able to execute our plans and bowl according to the field, that was the main reason. It was a good effort from the batters.
Laura Wolvaardt: I think this is definitely the most valuable contribution I have ever made to this team. I'm really honoured to be here today. Number five is a new role for me, but I'm really enjoying it down there, a lot more freedom with the field out.
South Africa v Pakistan
So that is it! The Proteas women become the second team after India to make the semifinal of the tournament. Adjudged the 'Player of the Match', Laura Wolvaardt scored an impressive half-century to hand the side its third win on the trot. The bowlers did their job too, striking at crucial points in the game to break partnerships.
