It’s going to be a new challenge for Yuvraj Singh when he travels to Abu Dhabi later this month for the Abu Dhabi T10 league. Having been signed by Maratha Arabians, this will be Yuvraj’s first stint with the shortest format of the game and he is looking forward to the experience.
“It’s an exciting format from T20 coming down to T10 now. I haven’t played, so I don’t know how quickly it’s going to go. T20 finishes so fast, T10 is going to be like super-fast, not sure how much time you are going to get to think and plan… planning has to be much better,” Yuvraj said on Monday.

After two successful years in Sharjah and Dubai, the tournament will be held in Abu Dhabi for the first time and Yuvraj is hopeful of the crowd support. “Crowds are going to come because it’s a T10 format and it’s going to go very quickly and people like to watch power-packed shorter-games,” he said.
With not much time in hand, Yuvraj plans to start preparing for the league soon. “My strategy is to swing hard because there is going to be no time at all and there is going to be hardly any balls to spare because, in T20s, you get 10-12 balls to settle down, here there would be no time. I am going to Chandigarh in a day or two and I will start planning to straight away go and hit the ball rather than taking my time. There has to be a different strategy…”
The Abu Dhabi T10 League will be telecast in India on Sony Pictures Sports Network on Sony Six and Sony Ten 3 channels.
