90'+3' FULL TIME: It would be unfair of me to say Southern Samity has played poorly today. Mahmoud Al Amna, especially, has played exceptionally well. There were occasional flaws which kept appearing from time to time in the side's defence, giving East Bengal the chance to breach the walls with ease. However, there were follies on the other side as well. Amarendu, Kalu and Amna, though failed to take advantage of those chances. The rain played spoilsport, making it difficult to play ground shots, as well. Overall, it has been quite the day for Kolkata football with the Mariners clinching the other match at Kalyani against Bhowanipur SC 2-0. |

Additionally, Menendez has gone for four new players in the defence today, a trend this season to keep switching players in the squad. The 53-year-old has been mostly testing his bench strength for the upcoming I-League throughout CFL. Will this move help in the long run?
