Three minutes have been added to the second half.

88' SUBSTITUTION FOR EVERTON- IN- Bernard  | OUT- Iwobi

86' YELLOW CARD for Origi.

Well, well, well! What a passage of play has it been for Everton. The team hasn't won this Derby for over a decade and it had its best chance to.

82' SAVED! Richarlison with another threatening run down the left and yet again, Lovren gets turned with ease. Richarlison cuts in sharply and shoots on goal, only to be saved by Alisson.

80' SOOOO CLOSSEEEEE!! Tom Davies, with THE chance of the game! Everton, so close yet so far. Andres Gomes starts the brilliant counter-attacking moves and threads a great through ball to Richarlison down the left. He squared the ball to Calvert-Lewin from the centre of the box by Alisson and the deflection falls to Tom Davies at a tight angle, who misses goal from close range.

73' SUBSTITUTION FOR LIVERPOOL- IN- Dejan Lovren  | OUT- Joel Matip

71' Matip pulls up under no apparent pressure. Liverpool has already used four substitutions. He is back up on his feet. He has a trial run and it doesn't look good. Lovren has been summoned.

5 goals in 7 games against Everton for Origi. If there is one man The Toffees did not want to see, it's this man. Can he make a difference?

64' SUBSTITUTION FOR LIVERPOOL- IN- Georginio Wijnaldum, Divock Origi  | OUT- Keita, Firmino

62' Free-kick in a dangerous position for Liverpool. Right outside the box. TAA lifts it over the wall but the ball is deflected for a corner. Nothing comes off it. Yellow card for Digne.

60' SUBSTITUTION FOR EVERTON- IN- Gylfi Sigurdsson | OUT- Gordon

54' BLOCKED AND LIVERPOOL CORNER! Mane is freed down the left wing and he zips down to the byline, while waiting for support in the centre. Alex Chamberlain is late and Mane is forced to wait. In the mean time, Coleman charges in with a brilliant tackle. Nothing comes off the corner.

51' MATIP! FIRMINO! KEITAAAA- WIDE!! Nice movement from Liverpool. Matip plays the ball to Keita on the edge of the box, who pats to Firmino. The Brazilian chests the ball back to Keita, whose volley is wide of the right upright.

The second half is underway!

Half-time Substitution for Liverpool: IN- Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain| OUT- Takumi Minamino.

The players back on.

A very average first half comes to an end. Not even a single corner in the first corner. The match, literally, is yet to take off.

END OF FIRST HALF

Two minutes have been added on

The former Man City man limps off due to issues in his hamstring.

SUBSTITUTION FOR LIVERPOOL- IN -Joe Gomez| OUT- James Milner

41' SAVED!!! TAA, as expected, whips the ball low into the right corner but Pickford was up to the task he dives on time to make the save.

40' FREE-KICK! Mane's spledid run is cut short by a wrestling-like tackle from Keane. TAA to take the spot kick.

34' DRAGEED WIDE! Firmino, from the cusp of the box, fails to get contact on the shot and drags the ball wide of the left upright off his left foot.

32' JUST OVER! Richarlison heads cross from the right-wing just over the cross-bar.

30' WIDE! TAA whips the ball into the box from a free-kick on the right wing and Matip rises above his marker with ease to head the ball, but heads the ball wide.

25' Play resumes with an Everton throw-in.

23' The players taking a cooling break. A simmered start from the sides.

62% possession for Liverpool. As expected, the leader is dominating the possession but yet to beak the deadlock.

20' YELLOW CARD FOR MILNER! That was harsh. Richarlison gets past Fabinho and Mane but his thrown out of bounds by a huge shove from Milner.

18' GLOVED! Minamino and TAA combine on the right-hand side to trouble the Everton defenders. Eventually, TAA's deep cross, seeking Firmino, is intercepted and caught by Pickford.

16' WASTEFUL! A brilliant phase of passing between Iwobi, Andres Gomes and Richarlison in the midfield. Digne on the left wing receives the ball and his attempted cross into the box flies over goal.

11' FREE-KICK TO Liverpool: Richarlison fouls Fabinho and the ball is on the cusp of a reasonable range. TAA flicks the ball in but it comes off horribly. Goal kick to Everton. Klopp still trying to work out what happened there.

10' CLOSE! Gordon loses the ball in the midfield to Mane, who sets Minamino free on the right. Takumi takes a crack at goal from the edge of the box but the ball flies into the stands. Gordon breathes a sigh of relief.

9' CLEARED! Mane plays a quick ball to Firmino inside the box near the byline. The Brazilian striker's cut-back is cleared away by a sliding Holgate.

4' CLOSE! Fabinho's attempted back pass through a header is loose as Richarlison latches on to the ball. He darts down left wing and squares the ball quickly off his left-foot. The ball beats the defense line and also the man the cross was seeking, Calvert-Lewin.

3' Pouched! TAA attempts a cross into the box but Everton 'keeper Jordan Pickford intercepted.

MATCH BEGINS!! The Merseyside Derby, the first-ever without a crowd, is underway!

MATCH PREVIEW:

Everton will have to play a perfect game to beat Liverpool in Sunday's derby at Goodison Park and home advantage no longer exists without fans in the stands, manager Carlo Ancelotti said on Friday.

Premier League leader Liverpool needs six points to clinch its first title in 30 years and will be a formidable opponent, having beaten Everton this season already in the league and FA Cup.

“We have to play a perfect game showing character, showing sacrifice, showing personality. To beat Liverpool you have to do more than 100%,” Ancelotti told reporters.

The match was confirmed at Goodison, rather than a neutral venue, last week after concerns about supporters gathering outside.

Merseyside derbies are always passionate affairs, with the home crowds creating a special atmosphere that will now be lacking.

“I am pleased that the game is at Goodison Park, I'm not pleased that we have to play without supporters,” said Ancelotti.

“The fact that we play home without supporters is a disadvantage for us, it will be a disadvantage for Liverpool, this is for sure.

“Nobody knows how the players are going to react without supporters. We will see,” added the Italian.

“Everyone in football says your supporters are the 12th man and we know how our fans supported us during home games but you have to respect the rules, the procedure. I think it is the right procedure.”

Everton will be without Yerry Mina and Fabian Delph due to injury, while Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Theo Walcott are long-term absentees.

Midfielder Andre Gomes, who had surgery after fracturing his right ankle in November, is available.

“Gomes is really important for us,” said Ancelotti. “He came back before the lockdown, he needed time to perform at his best. But now he's fit, in good condition and comfortable on the pitch.”
