With the group stages having drawn to a dramatic end, it’s time to look ahead to the next stage in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 – the Round of 16.

Twenty four teams, including four debutant sides, battled it out across six groups over the last fortnight for a place in the last 16.

The top two teams of every group automatically qualified for the knockout, occupying 12 spots. The other four berths were for the best third-place teams in the tournament, depending on points, goals scored and goal difference.
